I have been a Toastmaster for 15 years and this year I am the President of my local club, Lunchtime Talkers.

Meetings have been in-person since Ralph Smedley founded Toastmasters in 1924. There’s an energy and formality when speaking in front of others that is difficult to replicate virtually. It was quickly apparent to me that our club members were struggling with our online meetings.

Something had to be done. I decided to create a tool kit with items to duplicate our meetings.  Behold the Virtual Meeting Kit!

Please feel free to replicate my kit for your club, or alter it to fit your company.

This was originally streamed as a Facebook Live on the Lunchtime Talkers Toastmasters Club Facebook Page on Monday, September 28th, 2020.

If you want to be more comfortable speaking online or be ready to speak in public once the pandemic is over, come to one of our meetings. They are only an hour and everyone is welcome. We meet on Tuesdays at Noon ET. Email me if you would like the Zoom link.

NOTE: After all the kits were handed out, I realized we still needed the red, yellow, and green timing cards. I bought stiff construction paper from our local dollar store, cut them down to fit a #1 catalog envelope, and mailed them to each club member.
